noeuro ::: Favorites That's ok. I thought it was a Crowded House song originally. Haha. 07-10-11 19:55:35 __________________________________________________
kmpiper10403 ::: Favorites Nevermind, it was written by Neil Finn and the Dixie Chicks. Whoops. Sorry about that. 07-10-08 22:44:24 __________________________________________________
kmpiper10403 ::: Favorites Actually, this song was written by Natalie, Emily, and Martie. It was Neil Finn who changed adapted the lyrics to the song, not the other way around. 07-10-08 22:41:41 __________________________________________________
noeuro ::: Favorites I love how the Dixie Chicks have to say "two single beds" for the American audience. They wouldn't really get the point of "two beds" as in the original. But then its variation which is always good. 07-10-07 18:17:35 __________________________________________________
TheForestMovie ::: Favorites the best song ever 07-09-28 08:57:18 __________________________________________________
ronhelf ::: Favorites By the way, I don't see why anyone should support forces sent on imperial missions anywhere in the world whether in Chechnya or Iraq. 07-09-05 07:39:57 __________________________________________________
ronhelf ::: Favorites How one gets from a criticism of Bush to criticism of American troops is beyond me. However, that seems to be the tried and true method of demagogues who think no criticism of the powers that be should be countenanced. Reminds me of the good old days when monarchs and tyrants brooked no criticism of themselves. Let's hear it for free speech and democracy. It is right up there with Clear Channel's (thats sarcasm, by the way). 07-09-05 06:58:13 __________________________________________________
ronhelf ::: Favorites As a Dixie Chicks and a Crowded House fan I have to admit I prefer the Crowded House version. I think Neil Finn's arrangement captures that melancholy feel at the heart of the song much more than the Chicks version. This seems appropriate for a song that seems to reflect some of the things Neil must have been feeling in the wake of Paul Hester's suicide. 07-09-05 06:52:30 __________________________________________________
imusbcraz ::: Favorites Both versions are great. I do like the way CH rocks out on it live though. :) 07-08-07 23:06:25 __________________________________________________
BillyCaftdunt ::: Favorites How come we don't get to see these so-called Chicks, then ? Quite irritating, considering this is supposed to a video, rather than a poster or book. Are they making some kind of statement, or could it be because they are mingers ? I would be fascinated to know.. 07-08-07 09:53:46 __________________________________________________ |
