Last night, a Brazilian airliner ran into a building when it attempted to land at Sao Paulo's airport. It immediately exploded into flames. The airport is known for having short, slippery runways. U.S. Senate Democrats may be feeling especially exhausted today. They pulled an all-nighter last night, even setting out cots, to spotlight a GOP filibuster. That filibuster prevents the Senate from voting on an amendment that could bring troops home by next year. Republicans dismissed the debate as a publicity stunt. Democratic Senate majority leader Harry Reid said he hopes the all-nighter will change some views. Today, the Senate will vote on legislation that would require President Bush to begin pulling troops out of Iraq in 120 days' time. It's expected to fall short of the 60 votes needed to cut off debate and move to a final vote. The U.S. military says a senior leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq is under arrest. Khalid al-Mashadani reportedly handled communication among top Al Qaeda officials. He was seized July 4 in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul. Since his arrest, he's shed light on the workings of the terror group in and out of Iraq. The wife of Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards is taking on his rival Hillary Clinton. In an interview with salon.com, Elizabeth Edwards said her husband would be a better advocate for women if elected than Mrs. Clinton. She said Clinton isn't as vocal as she should be on women's issues and criticized her for not talking more about poverty, which often affects single mothers. The Clinton campaign had no comment. They told me exactly what I told you, they change the pickguard and turn the bridge around, he also said "We do not alter the bracing or any other part of the body or neck". Jimi Hendrix faced ergonomic issues on the other hand. Try playing a strat upside down to see what I mean. He did change the strings though, reset the intonation and perhaps the nut too. Just a regular instrument with the strings on backwards (upside down), and the bridge turned around. unless it's a banjo, then yes, the 5th peg has to be put on the opposite side.
