Description:
[Columbia Studios Recording Session Story] I was a guest of Junior Huskey during this recording session at Columbia Studios Nashville, Tn. - The late, great Roy "Junior" Huskey was a well-known country session man and a master of the upright bass. Huskey was one of the country session men who played on Sweetheart of the Rodeo. Will the Circle Be Unbroken (United Artists, 1972) was dedicated to Huskey, who played upright bass on the entire album and died at age 43 shortly after its recording.

Thank you for your reply. I have searched the music services for this recording without any luck. If I could find it and clear the copyright hurdles I would like to post it on YouTube. If you can get clearance and post it on your YT site I would link to you. __________________________________________________ |

Wonderful story, important oral history. Thank you so much for taking the time to put it on this unforgiving and sometimes crude medium (OMG!!! clueless, yet rude). I found it due to my love of Cindy Walker and all her wonderful songs. But one of my most favorite upright bass players of all time is Junior Husky, so this was double happiness. Thanks. Maybe I can help you find a suitable tape recorder with 10 inch reels at the correct speed. Let me see what I can do... Thanks again. __________________________________________________ |
