flexyfrankie ::: Favorites 2007-12-02 15:17:06 I agree. I'm a Rhythmic Gymnast and my legs are much more flexible. :-) However, i need to work on my strength :-( __________________________________________________
gothiccontortionist ::: Favorites 2007-11-25 09:22:24 I've been doing contortion for 12 yrs now, and i'm also a gymnast. Many of my fellow gymnasts cannot do anything near of what I can achieve. My doctor said to me that contortion is genetic. He also said that even though people can learn contortion, they will suffer in an older age. My back bones are spaced apart more than other peoples and my doctor said my ligaments are more elastic do to part of my collagen. __________________________________________________
EmpressIllyria ::: Favorites 2007-11-21 18:29:37 Many Rhythmic Gymnasts have superior flexibility to this, espeically in the hips and legs... but as the previous comment said, the majority do not focus on controlling the hand balance or develop the upper body strength/balance displayed by a mongolian body artist. They have the ABILITY to develop it, but most dont because the focus of Rhythmic is more on the lower body and hand to eye coordination than isolated hand balances __________________________________________________
jo3scale ::: Favorites 2007-11-19 17:19:33 Not really, rhythmic gymnasts have the flexibility but many times lack strength, which is specially necesary for the one handed handstands and also lift up from a backbend. __________________________________________________
Swankdor ::: Favorites 2007-10-26 13:07:48 LOL..Amazing. But dun all rhythmic gymnast are able to perform that as well? __________________________________________________

delorasfarewell ::: Favorites 2007-09-07 17:33:07 to get as good as she is, yes, it does take years. you don't get perfect technique in handbalancing in 6 months. sorry. you may have natural flexibility, but to control it well enough to have an act as flawless as hers takes so much dedication. __________________________________________________
agu3contort ::: Favorites 2007-08-24 22:15:28 It doesn't necesarrily take years. At least in my case it took less then six months and look were I am. It depends on how seriously you take the training, I dedicate 1 - 2 hours everday. __________________________________________________
Jessupie ::: Favorites 2007-08-24 17:23:06 you are never too old to learn! if you practice every day you will get limber!But that is the crucial part, every day! you will improve more then! __________________________________________________
alegria101 ::: Favorites 2007-08-18 16:49:49 avatrix369, it takes years of practice to become this flexible and strong, training for contortion usually starts off at a fairly young age (mainly before the age of ten). __________________________________________________
avatrix369 ::: Favorites 2007-08-06 14:37:03 i haven't seen the other girls but do u know many years of practice it takes to get this good? of course i can't even do the splits or a backflip but still this is amazing __________________________________________________
Xanthosine ::: Favorites 2007-07-25 15:57:20 outrageous __________________________________________________
agu3contort ::: Favorites 2007-07-20 22:24:45 Si me preguntas a mi me parece bastante repetitivo, simpre hace la misma posicion invertida, y siempre se pone en handstand de la misma manera, a diferencia de ulziibayar. __________________________________________________ |
