Description:

3 ounces of potassium chlorate/aluminum flash powder wrapped in aluminum foil(with fuse protruding) and put under a metal soup(or tin) can. The trail of smoke upwards is the can skyrocketing into the air. The video doesn't depict the true magnitude of the sound of the blast. I had the camera duct-taped to the ground so the shock wave wouldn't knock it over.

the regular platinum is 4 or 6 inches long and 1/8 inch wide, it would work but its not that much. i forget the platinum/iritium i think it was 3 1/2 inch long and 1/12 in in diameter, that anode looked pretty small but was a solid, thick alloy, the bottom was shaped differently too, its a shame they are so expensive.

what platinum/iridium? i'm not sure, but i think the only way we get iridium on this planet is from meteorites, they find it near the gulf coast and i believe around the middle east in remote places. in underground tunnels and stuff. i saw one and only one "buy it now" thing on ebay for 345 dolars. it lookedlikte that rod was made for electrolytic cells, i looks ik around 6 inches or so.
